The moment has come and the Horton’s Funeral Home Family has been given the solemn duty to announce that Roy Davis Holloman, is no longer troubled with the cares of this world but he is now resting among the Heavenly Host. Mr. Holloman began his Life of everlasting peace on March 29,2024 while resting at The Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice Greenville,NC.
The Services honoring his legacy will take place on Saturday April 6,2024 at 11am at Soul Saving Station in Ahoskie, NC with Reverend Dr. Gregory Clark, officiating. During this time, family and friends can gather and remember better days with Mr. Holloman while relying on their faith to get them through this difficult time.
Those left to honor his memory include his children, Dr. Tiffany Rodrika Holloman (LaTonia) of West Yorkshire, UK and Torran ElRoy Holloman of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren including Travien Jarquis Holloman of Atlanta, GA; Kayla Alis’e Heckstall of Greensboro, NC; Ty’Quan Isaiah Holloman of Ahoskie, NC; and Braxton William Holloman of Raleigh, NC; three great- grandchildren; his mother, Roseta Powell Holloman of Ahoskie, NC; siblings Mary Jane Gatling of New Jersey, Johnnie Webb Holloman, Jr. of Laurel, MD, Leon Holloman (Barbara) of Portsmouth, VA, William McKinley Holloman of Temple Hills, MD, Johnny Hudson Holloman (Louise) of Ahoskie, NC, Jimmie Lee Holloman (Patricia) of Aulander, NC, Rosemary Holloman-McKay (Bruce) of Youngsville, NC, and Maxine Rosalie Holloman- Jackson of Durham, NC; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends; his former wife and mother of his children, Addie Ruth Holloman of Ahoskie, NC; and special loved ones, Myrtle, Valerie and Gregory Clark of Ahoskie, NC.
Although Roy closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest, where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.
